This first post is a short, but deeply felt, thank you to archivists. This project has brought me into conversation with archivists at Strathclyde, at Glasgow, at Oxford, and at Bristol. Every single conversation has been informative and wildly – wildly! – helpful. Archivist teams have the most wonderful deep knowledge about their holdings and collections, and have been unstintingly generous in sharing this expertise. Thank you, archivists: you are the quiet heroes of the research process.
